Certified ID document copy

How Does Online Document Certification Work?

  1. Take a photo holding your ID, passport or driver's licence closer to your face

  2. Upload your photo and your supporting document below, then wait for verification

  3. Once verification is successful, we print and certify your documents and send them to you

Certified copies are commonly needed for job applications, university admissions, visa applications, banking, and other official processes that ask for a certified copy of your ID document.

If you're not sure whether a remotely certified copy will be accepted for your specific application, it's worth checking with the requesting institution first.

Use your camera (phone or laptop)

No scanner needed. Take a selfie holding your ID, or scan documents with guide lines and smart edge detection. Multi-page PDF supported. Everything runs in your browser — no paid camera APIs.

Use Scan document above (saves as image or PDF) or upload PDF, Word, Excel, JPEG, PNG, PowerPoint.
Please upload the supporting document.
Optional. Use Scan ID back (saves as image or PDF) or upload JPEG, PNG, or PDF of the reverse side.
Please choose a color option.
Please select paper size.
Please enter the number of pages.

We always print and certify your document. Choose whether you need a physical hard copy delivered by courier, or a digital scan of the certified copy sent to you electronically (no courier fee).

Select an option above. Your quote will include a courier fee only if you choose Physical copy.

Document & ID Certification FAQs

Your ID book or smart ID card, passport, or driver's licence can all be used as the supporting document. Upload a clear photo or scan of it together with a recent photo of yourself holding it, so we can verify the details before certifying and printing your copies.

PrintZilla certifies and prints copies of the documents you upload, but acceptance rules vary between employers, institutions and government departments. If you're submitting to an organisation with strict certification requirements, it's worth confirming what they'll accept before you place your order.

Certification costs R8.00 per page. If you'd also like your copies printed in colour or on A3 paper, standard printing rates apply on top of the certification fee — see the pricing tables above.

Once your photo and supporting document pass verification, we print and certify your copies. You choose on the form: physical courier (hard copy delivered to your address — courier fee on the quote) or electronic by email or WhatsApp (we scan the certified copy and send it digitally — no courier fee). Typical turnaround depends on verification and your chosen delivery method.
